Story His Story 2025 - An evangelism and missions conference held at Glorieta Baptist Church in Oklahoma City and co-sponsored by Glorieta Baptist Church and First Nations Gospel Storyers.

The conference will feature five worship services designed to bring spiritual refreshing through Christ-focused worship and biblically faithful narrative preaching.  Each message will be taken from biblical stories related to this year's theme of Faith-filled Obedience.  The conference also includes three breakout sessions which will be focused on skills and understanding in Bible storying methods and strategies - taught by Bible storying practitioners.  Attending Story His Story 2025 will give pastors, ministry leaders, and followers of Jesus practical skills and tools for their ministries of evangelism and discipleship in their ministry setting.

Please note that Story His Story 2025 is available for you to attend FREE, including all on-site meals, due to the generous gifts of our donors. You will only be responsible for your travel and lodging.  


Speaker Profiles

Dr. Timmy Chavis (Lumbee) is the senior pastor at Bear Swamp Baptist Church in Pembroke, NC. He formerly pastored Mount Bethel Indian Baptist Church and Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Warrenton and Red Springs, NC respectively.  He received academic degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, and completed additional studies from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and Campbell University Divinity School at Buies Creek, NC. He and his wife, Kimberly, have three children and seven grandchildren, and live in the Prospect Community in Robeson County, NC.

 

Rev. Eddie Lindsey (Muscogee) is a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and man of God.  He is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, OK and is the founding pastor of Indian Community Church in Oklahoma City.  He has a long tenure in ministry, having pastored several churches including Glorieta Baptist Church (1979-1983) during which time Glorieta experienced significant growth.  His ministry also includes missionary service with the Alaska Baptist Resource Network and Oklahoma Baptists, giving direction to church strengthening and church planting efforts in Native American and Alaska Native churches and communities.  

 

Dr. Mark Custalow (Mattaponi and Chickahominy Eastern Division) and his wife, Ann, have been married for 36 years, have 2  adult  married children, and 7 grandchildren. Dr. Custalow received academic degrees from Washington Bible College in Lanham, MD, Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.  He has been in ministry over 36 years including his current pastoral ministry at Glorieta Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, 2 additional churches in Montana, and Southern Baptist missionary service in Montana, Georgia, and Virginia. He and his wife launched First Nations Gospel Storyers in 2019 with a focus on making disciples and planting churches in First Nations urban communities across North America.
